His entire life his family has been very supportive of him and he's done very well throughout any avenues he has gone into. Due to his dad's gambling Ryuk was raised from a young age to do the same thing, always figuring out the odds and how to tell if people are lying for games such as Poker. By the time he entered into High school, rumor has it he had won over three hundred dollars in money from other kids. This has never been confirmed though.
Upon discovering his power Ryuk has no idea what to do with himself. He realizes that he has the potential to do something with it, but his mind cannot decide if the risks are worth the reward. Description:
Stage 1: Ryuk's cards begin to naturally float around him and are also able to stretch out their height and width to be as large as Ryuk himself. While they are in their small form the edges are sharpened, allowing for Menboku to throw them as if they were knives. Also he may grow one of them to be as large as he is and placing it in front of himself, causing it to block an incoming attack.
