Life could be so complicated, not unlike a good maths problem. That’s what you got when you were a pretender though, a wolf in sheeps clothing. Nothing was simple, nothing was straight forward. But if there was one thing that she hated more than her complicated life it was surely... That red haired bitch! That bane of her athletic existence, the destroyer of her desire for artistic perfection. This evil had a name, the most vile name she had ever heard, a name that made her cringe at the sound of it... Haruko Himeno. Naomi wasn’t sure if it was the fact that the younger girl was simply better than her... Or if it was the fact that she was a complete moron.

Calculations ran through Naomi’s head at speed that would make her imbecile opponent dizzy, she ran probability after probability through her mind to block her competitor’s next movement and counter act it. Unfortunately, that was proving more difficult than it should have against some low IQ buffoon...

Naomi brought her forearm up to block Haruko’s incoming blow, her loosely tied back dark hair flying off in the opposite direction as it struggled to catch up with the rest of her body. As she blocked Haruko’s blow, Naomi threw her leg upward, her knee aimed straight for Haruko’s chin...

Himeno Haruko	Haruko never stopped smiling through their combat. Out of all of her opponents, Naomi was definitely the most challenging and being able to fight with her was a joy among joys! ...Of course she never seemed to share the same sort of pleasure, but then she'd learned by this point that not many people enjoyed fighting as much as she did. "Woah!" Haruko narrowly avoided the knee aimed for her chin as she backed away, grazing over her nose as she staggered a bit only to reach out and grasp the offending leg with both hands, spin and fling the other girl for a short ride to the ground. "Almost got me on that one!" She didn't bother following up. Attacking an opponent while they were down was bad sportsmanship. Instead she took the opportunity to loosen herself up a bit with a stretch.

Naomi didn’t think she could have been more irritated as her knee just grazed Haruko’s nose... And then she was grabbed, spun and thrown to the mat, and Naomi realised that she had just discovered a new level of frustration. The ease at which that red haired bitch had countered her attack and tossed her like a rag doll was an excellent parry of her attack... Although the fact that she hadn’t finished her off annoyed her. It was as if Haruko was just playing with her now, making out that she was no big deal.

Naomi flipped back onto her feet and spun around to confront her enemy. Naomi circled around the matt a bit before coming in fast, striking with a kick with her left foot, aimed low at Haruko’s knee, she readied her fist, as she prepared to bring it up to clobber the poor imbecile in the face the instant it looked like she was going to start toppling...

Himeno Haruko	Haruko knew Naomi well enough at this point, bracing her leg for the impact. It would hurt a bit for sure, but Naomi wasn't the strongest of the opponent's she'd faced. Naomi was about speed and attacking first. Haruko could weather a few blows against her while she sought the proper opening that screamed 'Attack!'. The kick landed well, but Haruko's leg remained locked as she threw her own punch straight for Naomi's right cheek. It would likely screw up any opportunity that Naomi had planned for an extra strike.

Naomi a sneer crossed Naomi’s face as her kick stuck Haruko’s solid leg. Not even a tip, not even a wobble... Her calculation was perfect, that should have succeeded just as her maths had predicted it would. Everytime she ran the calculation, it should have dealt a blow to her balance. She would have to increase her estimations of Haruko’s strength for next time to account for this failure. Unfortunately, her miscalculation had already cost her dearly as she saw a fist come up as a counter, aimed straight for her face...

The sound of bone hitting bone rang out through the gym, that sickening cracking sound making even the referee cringe. Naomi wasn’t quite sure what happened after that. Her next memory was being on the mat, blood pouring from the corner of her mouth. Naomi groaned as the Referee came racing up and knelt beside her, putting his hand on her shoulder, asking if she was alright.

“...aaaaaargh...”, Naomi started with a groan, “Did anyone get the license plate number of the truck that hit me?”, Naomi asked jokingly, somewhat out of character for her... Perhaps it was the side effect of a developing concussion? Regardless, she was going to have to kill Red one of these days...

Himeno Haruko	And knelt at her other side was, of course, Haruko. Considering she had no medical knowledge and wasn't the ref there wasn't much she could do but put on a nervous smile and run a hand through her hair before attempting to help her to her feet if need be. "Sorry 'bout that... Heheh... Guess I got carried away. Didn't think I hit ya that hard." Haruko's intention was never to seriously injure an opponent... at least not in practice. Unfortunately she had a habit of putting every ounce of effort and strength into her attacks even in practice and expecting her opponent's to counter or parry away from this sort of thing. This happened a lot...

Naomi rolled her eyes as Haruko explained how she might have gotten carried away. The understatement of the century was all Naomi had to say about it. She sat up as the Ref gave her a helping hand. A medic hurried over and pressed an ice pack to her cheek, making the brown haired Eliminator wince in pain. That was going to bruise something fierce... Her perfect face, ruined for a week or so. Naomi let out a sigh as she took the ice pack off of the medic and kept applying the pressure.

No matter how hard Naomi tried, she couldn’t best Haruko. She could make every other martial artist in the school look like they were standing still, but she was in a league of her own... It sometimes felt like no amount of training or calculations were ever going to bridge that gap that existed between them. Begrudgingly, Naomi extended her free hand at Haruko, while looking away from her, doing to best to not be a sore loser.

“Good fight... I concede defeat”, Naomi told her, trying not to grip the other woman’s hand to0 hard in the process. With Naomi’s announcement, the Ref stood up, grabbed Haruko’s hand and raised it into the air.

“WINNER!”, The Ref shouted to the tiny crowd of spectators that lined the gym wall benches, how gave a soft applause.

Kenji Hirohata	Sheesh, it was just gym class and yet people still seemed to enjoy beating the piss out of each other. They hadn't even used the safety equipment that people probably should use in a spar. Instead they went bare knuckled with no protection...which was all well and good if it was a real fight. But this was school, not a street fight. He supposed he shouldn't be surprised, however. From what he gathered of those two girls, they were quite violent. And not just taking it too far in a friendly spar violent. Just straight up 'I'll break your neck' violent. Oh well. He generally ignored them, instead concentrating on his own activity, teaching a senior know-it-all a bit of a lesson in the wrestling ring. Idiot thought he was badass, wen clearly he had no skill whatsoever. Within moments, Kenji had him on his back with his arm bent back behind his head, and choking his own arm around the guy's neck. He tapped seconds later. Well, at least it had provided a few moments of amusement.

Himeno Haruko	Haruko was more than pleased to accept a friendly handshake, heartily attempting to shake the life right out of Naomi's arm if the other girl wasn't careful. "I really am sorry, Nao-chan!" Haruko apologized again before releasing Naomi's hand back into it's natural habitat. "You'll be okay right? It was a good fight!" Once the short celebration was over, Haruko didn't seem prepared to leave Naomi to her own devices. Instead she followed her about attempting to talk about this and that. Of course, to Haruko, this and that generally had to do with fighting of one sort or another. Haruko was a regular encyclopedia of combat knowledge!

Naomi rolled her eyes as her intellectually challenged opponent continued to follow her, chattering away about how good the fight was, as if they were supposed to be... Heaven forbid... Friends. It was tempting to walk the annoying girl out to her car, pull her sidearm from under the seat and shoot her in the head... If she didn’t have the good fortune of being a human civilian. Naomi continued to walk, eventually making it out of the gym; her unwelcome red haired companion trailing behind, still chattering away.

The pair walked together, rather unwillingly, to one of the small campus food outlets. Naomi stood at the counter and browsed all of the plastic containers filled with sushi, looking for her favourite flavour, doing her best to ignore Haruko and pretend that they weren’t hanging out together to everyone else in the store. As the solemn woman paid for her meal and sat down at one of the outside tables with a can of coffee, she waited for her unstoppable future... A lunch with Haruko.

“Don’t you have friends you can have lunch with?” Naomi asked somewhat emotionlessly, although the undercurrent of irritation couldn’t help but seep into her voice...

Kenji Hirohata	Kenji let out a long sigh as he browsed the food selections. There wasn't exactly a lot to choose from, even for one of the best high schools in the country. It wasn't exactly a university or anything, after all. Oh well, he would have to make do for now. Scratching his cheek, he eventually grabbed one of the sushi containers, as well as a sealed bowl of steaming miso soup. That should do well to re-energize him after a hard work out during gym class. As he moved towards the counter to pay for his food, his glance caught sight of those two girls he had been watching before. They didn't seem so violent now, but good god did they know how to beat the crap out of each other. he wasn't sure, but he thought he could identify a few bruises here and there. It was just gym class... why they would take it so seriously then, he couldn't figure out. "S'cuse me," he said, pushing past the pair on his way to one of the tables. He didn't notice them sitting down just one table away, as he was too much paying attention to his meal in front of him. He was starving.

Himeno Haruko	Haruko was having a fairly good time as she chattered away, taking Naomi's way of few words as a chance to get more in for herself! She energetically rattled on and on about different methods of combat and ways to improve... until they made it to the place where Naomi wanted to eat. Haruko's focus was immediately altered to food, almost drooling as she stared at everything there was to offer. It all looked so good! She just wouldn't be able to choose! ...And she couldn't. She walked away with at least twice as much to eat as Naomi and seemed perfectly intent to eat every bite. She sat down across from her as Naomi asked her a fairly odd question. Any bit of emotion in Naomi's tone was lost on the braindead fighter chick. "I'm having lunch with a friend right now!" she spoke cheerfully just before reaching out a hand to snag the arm of Kenji's shirt. She didn't really want to actually grab his arm and get a lap full of his food. "Hirohata-san! You can have lunch here with us!" she spoke directly. It was more of an offer, but Haruko really made it sound more like an order.

Naomi dropped her head into her hands as Haruko grabbed onto that jock douche bag and asked him to sit down with them. She didn’t even want Haruko there, why the fuck would she want MORE people here?! As she raised her head out of her hands, she couldn’t hide the twitch of her eye that showed her irritation. With a stifled sigh, Naomi begrudgingly shifted over a little to allow Kenji a spot where he could come and sit down. As much as she detested the company, there was only so hard she could protest before it started to draw attention.

“Now, now Haruko, let’s not pressure him into anything”, Naomi, in what was probably, a vain attempt to make Kenji not want to sit down... And to hopefully make Haruko not want to let him sit down.

Breaking the seal on her coffee, Naomi took a quick sip before carefully opening up the stapled together plastic container that held her sushi. She took a quick smell to check that it smelt fresh. Breaking her chop-sticks down the middle, she clutched them in her hand and carefully picked up a piece of sushi, taking half a bite out of the piece. She looked back and forth between Kenji and Haruko as she chewed...

Mood: Irritated

Kenji Hirohata	And the next the Kenji knew, he was being tugged at by the very wild girl he had just been pondering on. He didn't even have a chance to sit down first. Now, he stood with a rather confused expression next to Haruko, as she yanked his sleeve. He glanced from one girl to the other, and then back again. Why all of a sudden had they decided they needed to eat with him? Or at least, Haruko had decided it. Naomi looked like she was just as confused as he was. "I, uh.... okay I guess," he commented, slowly looking back and forth between them again. He supposed they seemed like they could be interesting people to talk to... maybe. After taking a moment to make sure they weren't just messing with him, calmly sat down next to Naomi in the now vacant seat. "So...nice day, huh?"

Himeno Haruko	By the time Kenji got himself situated and Naomi started to eat, Haruko was already a good portion through with her food as she shoveled it away. A full mouth would certainly not stop her from conversing though! "You're that guy who's supposedly sooo good at wrestling, right?" she inquired about Kenji's reputation, though it was obviously a rhetorical question considering she simply kept rolling along. "I bet if men and women were together I could totally kick your ass! I say we try it some time! ...I say we try it after lunch! Nao-chan can be the ref!" She laughed heartily at her own brilliance, which was the only real pause between stuffing herself, before continuing again. "Whadaya say?!"
