History

A foreign exchange student from Russia, Sonya was born into a tough family. Her father was a member of the Spetsnaz, and her mother is a world renowned martial arts champion. Strength, Discipline, and toughness were key components in her household growing up, and she was not allowed to be weak just for being a woman. She was trained by both her parents since being able to stand, and while she did learn and master how to defend herself with various martial arts, she quite resents her parents for sapping away her childhood with their unrealistic expectations of her. When the opportunity came to enter a foreign exchange program to spend her high school years in Japan, she jumped at the chance to get away. She now attends Kabayashi Academy, keeping very much to herself. She isn't exactly what one would call a good student...in fact, she barely maintains a D to C- average. She isn't there for academics, however, she's there to get away, and that's all that matters to her.

Abilities

Name of Ability: Energy Conversion
Description: The ability to alter states of energy through physical contact.

Stage 1: By touching an object with skin to skin contact, Sonya is capable of altering that object's potential energy and converting it into kinetic energy, thereby charging the object with explosive effects. Once fully charged, the object will explode either on contact when thrown, or through a timed detonation, as decided by Sonya beforehand when charging it. The larger the object, the longer it takes to charge, though also the larger the explosion. A simple piece of paper or even a pebble will result in an explosion equal to a small demolitions blast and take only a few seconds to charge. Charging something like say a house, though, would probably take half an hour to fully charge, though the resulting explosion would be quite massive. Sonya can only charge inanimate objects. Organic objects, such as people, plants, or animals, cannot be charged.
